Symptomatology
Symptomatology means, the study of disease, has special type of symptoms and on account of these symptoms we can perform the diagnosis (treatment). The symptoms are mainly of eight types.
1.General or Constitutional
i.e.those symptoms which appear on the whole body.
2.Local
i.e those symptoms which appear on a particular area of our body.
3.Subjective
i.e those symptoms which are described by the patient itself
4.Objective
i.e those symptoms which are found out only by the medical man, also called as signs.
5.Direct or idiopathic
i.e those which directly indicate the presence of disease in the body and appear on the disease organ
6.Indirect or sympathctic
i.e which appear away from the sight of disease as the refer symptoms of the disease.
7.Pathogonomic Or Diagnostic
i.e those symptoms which directly indicated the disease and give assurance of the disease.
8.Predisposing Or Premonitory
i. e those symptoms which appear before the appearance of acutal symptom of disease or these are also known as the false symptoms of the disease.
