Dosology
According to EH doses are of 3tyeps
1.positive dose : Used in Negative types of diseases.
2.Negative dose: Used in Positive types of diseases.
3.Netural dose: Effectless dose is known as neutral dose. If an administration of positive dose results in improvement for sometime and then stops, then the dose should be made further positive, similarly, if the patient shows response to a negative dose and then stops improvement, then we have to add another negative i.e., the dilution should be increased or decreased depending on condition of patient and the doses should be adjusted.
(1) The selection of the drug, must ensure in accordance with the law of similarity.
(2) Every drug cam make it's influence felt in a three- fold manner, according to the strength of the dose.
- The neutral dose i.e., that degree of strength which has only a latent action, that is, it shows itself to be the perfect balance of its innate energic vibrations of force, and on this account does not change at all the physiological and pathological condition of the body, the neutral dose is therefore practically ineffectual.
- The positive dose, is stronger than the neutral one, and therefore stimulates, and accelerates.
- The negative dose, is weaker than the neutral one, and therefore acts as a sedatives, slackening the activities, capacities of the tissues and forces of the organism.
(3) The energic vibrations of dose of medicine must be equal to those of the disease- irritation, but homoeopathically contrary.
- Positive symptoms require negative doses of medicine.
- Negative symptoms require positive doses of medicine. All kinds of supporting inflammations, congestions, supporting and feverish conditions which are founded on Or connected with symptoms of neurotic excitement and chronic maladies in general. All conditions of atrophy, insufficient nourishment of some of the tissues, diseased conditions which are based on phenomena of neurotic depression, or connected weakness and reconvalescence.
- The altitude of the dweeling place, the greater proximity to the pole "cold northern climate" and mountains, childhood and sensitive Constitution, exercise the same influence as the positive symptoms.
- A tropical site for the dweeling place (greater proximity to the equator), old age and a torpid constitution of the invalids in question, all exercise the same influence as the negative symptoms.
(4) positive illness becomes worse through the administration of positive doses, and negative illnesses through negative doses.
(5) A change for the worse, that makes its appearance in the diseased condition, in consequence of a certain degree of strength of the dose, demands a weaker dose.
(6) when after a certain dose, a stand still occurs, following improvement at first, a stronger dose is necessary.
